SEPAK TAKRAW KICK VOLLEYBALL

SEPAK TAKRAW Is also know as kick volleyball, The sport is native to the Malay-Thai Peninsula. SEPAK TAKRAW uses a rattan ball and only allowing players to use their feet, knee, chest and head to touch the ball. It is most popular in Southeast Asia.

GENERAL RULES Players A match is played by two teams each consisting of three players. One of the team members is back player is called a “Tekong”. The other two team memembers are in front to the left and right. the left is called a “Left Inside” and the player on the right is called a “Right Inside” Service Rules The side that has the first serve begins the first set. The side that wins the first set get to choose the who begins the serve on the next set. As soon as the referee calls score the ball must be thrown. If this is not executed correctly then the ball will be re- thrown and the thrower will be warned. As soon as the ball is kick the player are then allowed to move around the court freely The service is Valid as long as the ball travels over the net even if the ball toughs the net or not.

CONCLUSION SEPAK TAKRAW is not your every day run of the mill sport. This Sport seems to require an extremely high level of athleticism. SEPAK TAKRAW represents skill that may be found in soccer, gymnastics, or cheerleading. When played at a high skill level this game is phenomenal to observe as you see the athleticism required for this sport. SEPAK TAKRAW would be a sport that I would be willing to play in the future, but does not seem to be a sport that was designed for all ages and skill sets.
