About the Cypress Health Region Employs 1650 health professionals in 20 facilities in Southwest Saskatchewan Covering 45,000 square kilometers Serving 47,000 people Long Term Care, Acute Care, Primary Health Care, Community Health Services

A Unionized Environment Most of the healthcare professionals employed in the Cypress Health Region belong to one of three Unions SEIU (Service Employees International Union) covers the majority of employees HSAS (Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan) represents most employees who have a degree in a health science profession SUN (Saskatchewan Union of Nurses) represents the Registered Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses employed in the province.

Staff Schedulers Scheduling is a centralized unit at Cypress Health, the Staff schedulers are responsible for ensuring facilities are a dequately staffed by calling employees $19.38 – $20.75/ hour Registration Clerks Registration Clerks work at the Admissions in Cypress Regional Hospital$ $19.64/hour Office Education Certificate Other valuable courses include Medical Terminology and Medical Office Assistant Certificates

Trades Facility Maintenance & Operator Operates and monitors computerized building control systems and maintains facility/plant systems and equipment $ $25.72 / hour Building Systems Technician certificate 5 th Class Power Engineer certificate & Refrigeration Certificate Cook Prepares meals and coordinates facility kitchen $ $21.29 / hour Journeyperson Cook certificate

Nursing Careers Special Care Aide/Home Care Aide Provides personal care to residents of Long Term Care facilities, acute care units and those still living at home who require assistance with daily tasks. $19.38 – $20.75 CCA certificate from SIAST

LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse Provides assessments of clients in Long Term Care facilities and acute care facilities. Assists physician procedures where required and provides patient care. $ $33.21 / hour Practical Nursing Diploma Nursing Careers

Nursing Careers Continued Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse Patient care and evaluation, assist in physician procedures, IV placements, phlebotomy, administering medications. Nursing Degree RPN Degree $ $45.35 / hour

Financial Assistance Cypress Health offers $2500 per year in tuition reimbursement for the final two years of an education program for a Hard To Recruit position This funding is in exchange for 1 year Return in Service for each $2500 accepted.
