According to Dictionary.com conflict means: to come into collision or disagreement; be contradictory, at variance, or in opposition; clash:

 Conflict can often lead to the best results.  Conflict can provide opportunities.  Conflict challenges us to think harder, to be more creative, and to develop greater understanding

 Can result in the breakdown of a club/organization  When unaddressed conflict occurs in an organization it can reduce morale, hamper performance, increase absenteeism.  It can lead to increased stress among club members, decreased productivity and at worst, aggression or violence.
