Setting In the story Enders game, the setting takes place well into the future. It also takes place on different places. It starts on earth in the United States in the state of North Carolina. It takes place in Enders house and school. Once he gets accepted to battle school, he goes to the launch site. Then he is in space on a rocket ship. The majority of the book takes place on the battle school. Battle school is a large building in space. It is circle shaped, and contains many rooms. Ender starts off in the Launchie barracks. He then moved to the salamander army barracks and after that to the Rat Army barracks. A lot of the book also takes place in the battle rooms were the training battles take place. Then he briefly goes down to earth, and soon after goes to command school which is on a planet called Eros. The book ends when he is on an old bugger world that they have colonized. This is Battle school

Character: Ender Ender- The main character in the book. He is the youngest of three children. He is six years old. He goes to battle school. They take him in because they think he will be the next great general. They think that because he is extremely smart. He is very creative and can figure out new ways to do things really fast. Even as a little boy he can figure out ways to do things that people thought were impossible to do. At home, he loves his older sister valentine very much. They love each other very much. His older brother peter, however is way worse then valentine. He is cruel to ender and ender is afraid of him. At battle school, ender makes new friends like Alai, Shen, and Petra. He makes his army better by using new maneuvers and soon becomes a valuable asset. He is the main character in The book. He is also a dynamic character because he changes over time. He is a protagonist. Ender is the major character in the book

Character: valentine Valentine is Ender’s older sister. She is gentle and kind. She loves ender more than anyone else. She is one of the only people that ender trusts. She is a very good writer. She starts writing her column on the internet and everybody likes it. It is very influential and soon even world leaders are talking about it. she plays a big role in helping ender. She is a main character because she helps out ender. She is also a dynamic character. She is a protagonist because she helps ender. Valentine loves ender very much

Character: peter Peter is the oldest of the three children. He is also the meanest. He is a killer. He has plans to take over the world. When ender is still there, he hates him and wants to kill him. Years after he leaves he executes his plan with the help of valentine and they become very influential. He is a major character because he ends up ruling the world. He is also dynamic. He was an antagonist, but as he grew older, he became better. Peter is enders older brother

Character: Bonzo Bonzo Madrid is the commander of salamander army. He is Spanish and has a strong sense of honor. He has ender when he gets traded to his army because he is small an young. That hatred is increased when ender beat and disrespected him in a game. He then tries to kill ender, but instead ender beats him up. He is a relatively minor character. He is static because he never changes. He is an antagonist because he fights with Ender. Bonzo hates ender.

Character: Graff Colonel Graff is the head of battle school. He takes great interest in ender and does things to make him a better solider. He brings ender to the school in the first place. He also leaves with ender and accompanies him to commanders school. He gets in trouble with the army because he delayed other boys training to further train ender. He is a major character in enders development. He is a static character that doesn’t change much. He is a protagonist because he helps Ender. Graff is enders commander

Conflict #1 person vs. himself During Battle school, when ender started becoming a great commander, he felt lonely because his friends thought of him as a teacher, not another kid any more. He start to feel bad about himself and hate his life, but then, Colonel Graff made valentine write ender a letter, he felt better. This represents man vs. himself conflict

Conflict #2 person vs. person. Throughout the book Enders Game, ender got into fights with many people, Including a boy named stilson And Bonzo Madrid. Stilson was a schoolyard bully who always made fun of ender. Bonzo was enders first commander who hated him by disrespecting his sense of Honor. In the fights, he felt it necessary to not just win the current fight, but win all the others, too. He did that by beating them up so bad, they wouldn’t mess with him. This represents a fight between two people

Conflict #3 Person vs. society. This is the main conflict of the book. Ender was brought in to fight this battle with the long time enemies of the human race, a group of aliens called the Buggers. He uses his new strategies to combat them. And ends up destroying their home world. This represents one man going against a society

Plot: rising action Ender gets the monitor removed. He then beats up a bully named Stilson. He then goes to Battleschol. On the way he breaks a boy named Bernard's arm. At battle school, at first Bernard bullies him and some others, he makes friends with another victim, Shen. He also makes friends with a boy named alai. Soon, colonel Graff finds it necessary to transfer him to an army to isolate him. He gets put in salamander army. Already, his commander, Bonzo, hates him. He doesn’t let him shoot anyone in the games, but when he does, Bonzo trades him to another army. This is the monitor that ender wore.

Plot: rising action (continued) While ender is in battle school, Peter gets valentine to help him in his scheme to take over the world. He and Valentine both write columns on the internet about different political events. They become very influential. Ender becomes a very successful solider. At a young age, he gets his own army. His army is very successful. Even when the odds are purposely stacked against him. He wins every game. He soon decides it is unfair and quits. He goes on leave and sees valentine back on earth. She convince him to continue his training. He goes then to commander school where he was taught by mazer Rackham, military genius. He then starts commanding the simulator. This is ender in the games.

Plot: climax At the climax, ender won the war with the buggers by dropping a giant bomb on the bugger’s home world, killing their queen and making the buggers extinct. Then Mazer Rackham tells him that he was actually commanding ships through the simulator. He then gets mad at Mazer because he didn’t know he was actually commanding ships and that real people were dying at his expense. These are what ender’s ships looked like.

Plot : falling action On earth, after the bugger wars end, at first there is war between the Russians and the rest of the world, but it is soon ended by Peter. Valentine comes to Eros, the planet ender is on, to get him to go to the old bugger world that they are colonizing. Ender is made governor of there. At the end, he finds a cocoon of the last bugger queen and takes it with him, hoping to find a place to replant them so they can live again. This is the new colony world

resolution At the end, Ender takes the bugger cocoon and makes it so the new Bugger Queen can live and repays the Buggers for destroying them all. Ender repaid the buggers.

theme I think the theme of the story is forgiveness because ender found the heart to forgive the Buggers for invading them, and they found the heart to forgive him for destroying them. Evidence: “We Have already forgiven you” P.320 Ender forgave the buggers and they forgave him.
