ONE NETWORK ROAD CLASSIFICATION (ONRC) Jim Paterson Transportation Network Manager TE KAUNIHERA O TE HAUAURU

The Background Why me? Involvement with the Road Efficiency Group (REG)?

RAMM Pilot How did I become involved in the RAMM Pilot Group? Recognition of the need for standardised systems and processes to deliver consistent outcomes and which could also utilise existing tools and data where possible, ie RAMM

Recognising the need

The Beta Release Initial considerations The trial releases Were RSL responsive? Did the process improve the software? Will the “How to generate the ONRC Data videos be useful” ?

Implementation

How did it go for the WBoPDC? Time taken Traffic data accuracy Fix data and regenerate if necessary Moderation to be undertaken by RAG

Periodic Review Classification criteria data is likely to change over time

The Next Steps Levels of Service and Performance measures - How you build your assets - standards - How you maintain them – interventions and their response times - How you measure performance (output delivery) National High volume National Regional Arterial Primary Collector Secondary Collector Access Access low volume
