SPECIES A group of organisms that look like each other and can breed among themselves.

ABIOTIC All nonliving factors in the environment

BIOTIC All of the living factors within an environment

ECOSYSTEM A system of interacting abiotic and biotic factors within an environment.

ORGANISM An individual form of life that can grow, gain energy from food, and reproduce

POPULATION Organisms of the same species in the same area

COMMUNITY – All populations of different species living in an area.

ENVIRONMENT All biotic and abiotic factors in an area

BIOSPHERE The portion of the earth that is capable of supporting life BIO = LIFE

ATMOSPHERE An invisible blanket of air surrounding the Earth
