Facilitate “People Networking” among all your connectors. K20 INITIATIVE Reach out and LISTEN to the right people on campus: – CIO or IT staff – Administrators – Academics Do your homework: find the “lowest hanging fruit” and leverage it Host an on-campus demonstration focused on disciplines as broad as STEM and Humanities or as narrow as Astronomy and Music Stay engaged: Post-discussion follow up is critical. Become a coordinator, facilitator, whatever it takes to keep the momentum. Once you get their interest don’t let it wane Don’t be afraid to suggest topics or take initiative and be sure to propose the next meeting Keep in mind that faculty are busy people with little time for experimentation... – Especially when using R&E Networks since they can only access these networks on campus – Need point and click access – Need information delivered directly to them (Twitter, Facebook, ISTE) Initially, keep it simple and short (KISS).
