What is the difference between running a small business and a large international one? How do businesses objectives and goals? How do businesses set their strategies? What are their objectives and goals? How do they stay competitive? How do they manage their finances and accounts? What makes these entrepreneurs successful? How do new businesses start up? How can a new business raise finance?

How do government policies impact on business? What is the impact of the credit crunch – what will businesses do differently? How do they manage change? How do departments like Marketing, Sales or Production operate? How do businesses recruit and train their staff?

Hopefully you will gain the qualifications you need to embark on the career of your choice, but will you have the business skills necessary to make your career a success, or will you have the extra edge that will get you your dream job? Business Studies is one of the most varied and diverse subjects available and combines well with Maths, Science, English, Humanities and others!

BUSINESS STUDIES The course has been designed to provide an understanding of how modern businesses work today. It looks internally at how businesses are set up and run and externally at how the economic environment impacts on business. AS level focuses on the set up and running of a brand new business. A2 concentrates on large companies that operate nationally and internationally.
