Presentation transcript:

Objective: Students will demonstrate their understanding of what is success. Bellwork: If someone asked you what is the secret to success what would you say?

 You will be working in groups to create posters about Success and “What is Success”.  Take your time, create a plan with your partners about what you want to say/include.  You have 30 minutes to talk with your group and create your poster, use your time wisely because this is all the in-class time you get.  If you finish your poster early you will need to return to your seat and read quietly. This is work time not free time.

 During the presentations I want you to remain quiet and pay attention to your classmates.  Remember to show each other RESPECT!

Each student will receive a 8 ½ by 11 sheet of white paper Put the Heading “I Have a Dream” at the TOP of your page. (Portrait or Landscape Orientation) Then draw your dreams of the future, which could include: – College – House – Family – Type of Car – Travel – Financial – Artistic Goals – Athletic Goals – Community Service – Specific Job

 What did we learn today?  Our next class period we will talk about writing a formal essay and build on that knowledge.  Remember you will be writing an essay soon about Success, using this format so take notes, pay attention, and ask questions!!!
