 Definition: Infections that are transmitted through sexual contact. Some are caused by bacteria, others viruses, some by fungi, and some by parasites.

 Bacterial  Parasitic  Viral

 An unusual discharge or strong odor from the vagina  Pain in the lower abdomen  Burning or itching  Tenderness/irritation  Sores, lesions, bumps, or rashes on the skin and genitalia  Swelling/Fever  Fatigue, vomiting, and stomach/joint pain  Pain during urination

 This means that there are NO signs and symptoms, however, you can still have a sexually transmitted infection.
