Intermediate 1 Hospitality – Organisation of Practical Skills Chilli; Rice; Garlic Bread; Coleslaw Time Activity 2.05 Get self & surfaces ready to cook. Pan of water on for rice Measure 50g rice 2.10 Collect ingredients for Chilli. Prepare onion, garlic for chilli Rice in for 12 mins. 2.15 Heat oil, gently fry onion & garlic. Collect tomatoes etc in jug Add mince & cumin to onions. Fry until browned – 3 mins. 2.20 Add tomato mixture, bring to boil, simmer 20 mins Prepare green pepper & collect kidney beans. Wipe up. 2.25 Collect ingredients for garlic bread 2.27 Rice off heat, rinse & drain well. Put into your container. 2.30 Prepare garlic bread. Wrap in foil, put to one side. Oven on 190ºC Wipe up. 2.35 Garlic bread into oven. Collect ingredients for coleslaw Add green peppers & kidney beans to chilli 2.40 Prepare coleslaw   2.45 Wash up. 2.50 Check seasoning of chilli. Transfer to container with rice. Take out garlic bread. Final wash up 2.55 Tidy & ready to leave room
