A computer network is a system in which two or more computers are connected by channels for the purpose to share information and resources.

The advantages of computer network are:  File shearing: it allows authorized computers to share information. Also it lets may people enter and update information on the “database", and make it be updated.  Resources sharing: many computers can be connected, using a network, and just one device.  Increase storage capacity: many computers are on a network, memory of different computers can be used.  Increased cost efficiency: a software can be programmed on a system and can be used by the different computers.

There are 3 main networks which are:  LAN: a local area network is some computers that share hardware and software, but the computers have to by in some limit.  MAN: a metropolitan area network cover big areas such as cities.  WAN: wide area network covers big areas such as continents.
