How about…  100 / 10 = ?  10 / 10 = ?  1 / 10 = ?  0.1 / 10 = ?  10 1111  0.1 or 1/10  0.01 or 1/100

Metric is Base 10  The metric system is based on the number 10  So it’s EASY TO USE!!!!

Metric Prefixes  Kilo-(as in kilometer or kilogram)  Hecto-  Deka-  Deci-  Centi-(as in centimeter)  Milli-(as in millimeter)
