Confidential and Proprietary External Use Limited 5 3 Call Types, Defined: –Static Once installed at a location, it never moves (e.g., Wireline) Usually Civic (e.g., Street Address), may need validation –Nomadic Primarily Static, but may occasionally move to another location (e.g., VoIP) When moved, MUST be updated with new location Automatic location technology is moving forward in this area –Mobile Location is not fixed, but moves often (e.g., Wireless/GSM) May roam between countries May move between networks during an ongoing emergency call Utilizes precise positioning technology Represented by Geodetic coordinates (e.g., lat/lon) Subject to accuracy considerations An Emergency Service Solution for Location Determination including VoIP
