THE ANCIENT ROAD OF THRACIAN WINE The PROJECT- “The ancient road of Thracian wine” is situated in a region which is geographically located in the central part of Bulgaria. Within the parameter of the route there are seven small towns and villages with famous mineral springs with a great tourist infrastructure built – over fifty hotels, balneal sanatoria and recreation places. THE ANCIENT ROAD OF THRACIAN WINE The pleasant and favorable climatic conditions for the growing of vines are the reason for the building and working of nine wine-cellars with a maximum capacity of bottles and there is still possibility for another five /two are in the process of building at the moment/. Geographic outline of the project Route – The ancient road of Thracian wine begins at the branching of “Trakia” highway /International road E 80/ towards Kalugerovo village, goes through villages - Panagyurishte, Strelcha, Krasnovo and Krasnovski bani, Starosel, Panicheri, towns – Hissar, Bania /Karlovo/, villages Streltzi, Zelenikovo /Brezovo/ and again enters “Trakia” highway, before town Chirpan. 1.
