Supply Management – Excluding Vaccine
Supply Management is responsible for assuring the clinic has adequate medical and non-medical supplies Must have enough non-medical supplies to operate a clinic for two 8-hour shifts for 10 consecutive days Must have enough medical supplies for 5,000 persons a day for 10 consecutive days
Supply Management – Excluding Vaccine Supply staff should assess in advance the type, quantity and source of non-medical equipment and supplies such as chairs, tables, waste cans, etc. that might be already available at the vaccination site and could be used If vaccination site non-medical equipment is to be used and it is not in the right place for a vaccination clinic, supply staff should have a plan for moving or having it moved to the correct place
Supply Management – Excluding Vaccine Signs providing instructions and directions to patients will be needed to manage clinic flow since one-on-one instruction is impractical There should either be a supply of signs pre-printed and stored in case needed or have the supplies available at the clinic to make signs
Supply Management – Excluding Vaccine Supply staff should work with the Clinic Manager to determine: The frequency with which supplies are automatically delivered to the various stations, or If not automatically delivered, how the stations order replacement supplies, and How the supplies get to the stations – do station staff pick them up or supply staff deliver them
