Dr. Shine Dyer (pediatric endocrinologist) Started texting her teenage patients to remind them to check their blood sugar and then used her research training to document better long- term blood sugar control after her texting campaign began. After a while she asked her teens for feedback and in passing asked them if they thought she “was a cool doctor” for texting them. They were unimpressed……This is what they expect in terms of communication.

JamesSmith220191: hey, just got back from Lincolns open day and the lecture about nursing said that there course specifically i aimed at community nursing not hospital based nursing. Does anyone know of any more unis that orientate there course towards the community setting not hospital. DaveyJones: community nursing has to be part of all nursing courses, but its really easy and simple. I am of the thought that it doesnt require a community orientated course. JamesSmith220191: Lincoln runs over 2/3 of the course in the community setting and emphasised the fact that they where churning out nurses that had the aim of specificaly going into community settings. Assmaster: Lincoln's an awesome place, why would you want to go anywhere else?! Subcutaneous: lol it sounds like that was a PG course you were looking at! need to be a trained nurse first JamesSmith220191: Im not sure lol it was just labled as Bsc Adult Nursing and was the only nursing talk today :s Subcutaneous: Oh, yeah thats most degrees..yeah totally normal, nothing new or special Lasttoiletroll: Hiya Essex Uni's (Southend campus) adult nursing course might be of interest:
