Leadership Module 3: Implementation Plan Framework

Leadership Purpose: Build an understanding of the implementation plan framework.

Implementation Plan: Stakeholders Identify three stakeholder groups in your school that would have an interest in the implementation plan and what it will accomplish. Read pages one and two of the Implementation Plan. Identify three (3) points that need to be communicated to each stakeholder group based on this part of the implementation plan. Share with your team members.

Implementation Plan: Outcomes Choose one of the outcomes and read the statements along with the table of indicators. State the main idea of the outcome Knowing that the implementation plan will need to address this outcome: –What information or data will be needed in order to address this outcome in your school? –Where can that information be found?

Implementation Plan: Outcomes Each pair share what has been written on the Leadership Outcomes Response Sheet. Identify: –Overlap among the outcomes –What is unique about each outcome –How information from one outcome may support the planning with others Continue this with all outcomes Maintain a record of the response sheet for future use

Implementation Plan: Limits and Latitude Timeline –Up until July 1, 2010 Outcomes + Targets + Local School Actions Local Context –Entry Points –Current Initiatives –Tools and Protocols Leadership Team –Structure and Responsibilities –Tools and protocols Access and Use Parking Lot of Concerns

Implementation Plan: Capacity and Planning How does your school need to proceed in order to assure that all students are being taught and learning the Core Curriculum concepts and skills? In relation to each of the Outcomes, Targets, LEA Actions what is your school already doing or what capacities does it have that you think may need to be included in the design of your implementation plan? Knowing what you do about recent and current efforts and your understanding of the statements of Outcomes, Targets, LEA Actions, what steps still need to be address as part of the design of your implementation plan?
