BARCELONA THE BEST CITY OF THE WORLD

SAGRADA FAMILIA  The expiatory church of Sagrada Familia is a monumental church began on 19 March 1882 from the project of architect Francisco de Paula del Villar. Parc Güell  Park Güell is a large garden with architectural elements situated in the center of Barcelona. It was designed by the architect Antoni Gaudi, the greatest exponent of Catalan Modernism, built between 1900 and 1914 and opened as a public park in It covers an area of acres ( km ²), so it is one of the greatest works of architecture in Southern Europe. In 1984 UNESCO declared World Heritage Park Guell.

PEDRERA  Casa Mila, also known as La Pedrera, is a building, built between 1906 and 1912 by the architect Antoni Gaudi and UNESCO World Heritage in The building is the headquarters of Catalonia Foundation. La Pedrera includes an important cultural reference in Barcelona by all the different activities organized and museum spaces and public use that includes.

Roman and Medieval  On 10 July 1339, with the reason of the move of Barcelona`s patron, Santa Eulalia, from the church of Santa Maria del Mar to the crypt that was dedicated to her in the cathedral they organize a solemn procession. When the procession arrived at “la Plaza Del Angel”, the urn that contained the body of Santa Eulalia was so heavy that it was impossible to move.  The Legend explains that entire crowd of the procession, kneeled for God to continue the move. Then San Miguel Angel appeared and pointed at one of the canons of the procession, who admitted that he had kept a toe of Santa Eulalia to save it as a relic, but he finally returned to the urn. Suddenly the height of the urn was light and they could continue with the procession normally. Since then the square is called “Plaça de l’Àngel” and in one of the houses there’s a bronze image of an angel.
