Sin — Our Failure, God’s Victory

Sin is “Every Man’s” Failure You are not alone – Rom. 3:9-20 We are all sinners, because we have all sinned – Rom. 3:23 (cf. Rom. 5:12-19) Rejecting God is not just the purview of the atheist. Sinners reject God! – cf. Psa. 14:1-7 You name the sin, and another is guilty! You are often the other who is guilty! – cf. Eccl. 7:20-22

Sin is “Every Man’s” Failure Misery loves company, but there is no solace or comfort while living in sin! Sin’s pleasures are passing and deceptive – cf. Heb. 11:24-26; Rom. 7:11; 1 John 1:8 Living in sin is a miserably condemned condition no matter how you rationalize it or justify it

1 Corinthians 15:55-57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ 55 “O Death, where is your sting?
