An adjective is a word that describes a noun or pronoun – It can tell what kind or how many – It may come before the noun it describes or after the linking verb. – Two or more adjectives are separated by a comma – A comma is not used when it tells how many 1.The lush, green forest stretched for many miles. 2.The Thanksgiving meal is my favorite. 3.I love homemade stuffing. 4.I also love the sweet, tart cranberry sauce.

Articles A and an are articles that refer to any person, place, or thing. – Use A before a singular noun that begins with a consonant – Use An before a singular noun that begins with a vowel – Use The before plural nouns The is an article that refers to a specific person, place, or thing.

Demonstrative Adjectives Demonstrative adjectives are this, that, these, and those. They tell which one and always come before the noun. – Use this and these for nouns near by – Use that and those for nouns farther away
