New Business issue-1(a).Optimal utilisation of BSNL Owned Lands &Buildings in time bound manner  We are getting the mutation of DOT lands in the name of BSNL in AP Circle. As on , 464 lands have been mutated out of 1150 DOT lands.  There are 502 BSNL lands in AP Circle. These lands are being alienated in the name of BSNL wherever not yet done. 2

New Business issue-1(a)-i.Optimal utilisation of BSNL Owned Lands  We have leased out 46 sites for ATMs and earning a sizable revenue of around Rs.5 lakhs per month. In addition, 10 white label ATMs cases approved for leasing from which revenue of Rs.50,000/- per month is anticipated.  2 cases of White Label ATMs in Visakhapatnam SSA are in process in CGMT office. 3

New Business issue-1(a)-ii.Optimal utilisation of BSNL Owned Lands  2 cases of CANARA BANK ATMs in Vijayawada submitted to Corporate Office for approval of additional funds.  2 nos of E-corners of SBI at Vijayawada are under process/ scrutiny in CGMT office / Corporate Office.  As on date, there is no separate policy for leasing out vacant land. 4

New Business issue-1(a)-iii.Optimal utilisation of BSNL Owned Lands  However, based on case to case request received, we have forwarded 10 cases of Hyderabad Telecom District and 2 cases of East Godavari District for retail outlets of HPCL. If approved by BSNL CO/DOT HQs, we may get a good revenue from these sites. We are pursuing further vacant sites leasing from HPCL, BPCL, IOC etc. to generate revenue.  Directions have been given to SSAs/Civil Wing authorities to lease out vacant ground spaces for erection of hoardings as per policy to generate revenue. 5

New Business issue-1(b). Optimal utilization of BSNL buildings  There are 1456 vacant quarters in AP Circle as on date.  We have leased out many vacant quarters to retired employees, near relatives of employees as per policy to generate revenue.  Directions have been given to SSAs/Civil Wing authorities to coordinate with Central Govt., PSUs, banks etc. to lease out these vacant quarters as per the approved policy to generate revenue. 6

New Business issue-1(b)-1. Optimal utilization of BSNL buildings  In regard to vacant space, 2190 Sq.ft of space has been leased out to Andhra Bank in Rajahmundry, spaces to BBNL in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad given.  Space leased to TRAI in Hyderabad and we are getting around 1(one) lakh rupees per month.  Directions have been given to SSAs and Civil Wing authorities to lease out vacant space to Govt. organization /bank etc., as per the policy to generate revenue. 7

2.Space auditing of all buildings  Directions have been given to Civil Wing officers to carry out the space audit of the buildings.  Once the space audit is done, they shall coordinate with SSAs to carve out vacant space in ground or first floor and follow the approved policy and procedure to lease out these spaces to generate revenue. 8

3.The possibility of entering in to new business segment such as Dish TV may be explored  As on date, there is no policy for leasing out land or building to Dish TV/Cable operators.  Without any concrete and proper policy, dealing with private operators or parties would lead to all sorts of complications rather than earning revenue.  We are, therefore, interested to concentrate with Govt. organisations/PSUs and Banks to generate revenue as per the policy. 9
