 Title Page o Name of Book o School name and complete address, phone, fax, o Volume number o School population

 Opening o Sets the tone o Gives reason why you chose the theme you did

 Division Pages o Consider spin-offs within each division so that the division page mirrors the opening but also introduces something new

 Closing o Mirrors the opening and brings the book to a nice, logical conclusion o Colophon

 Other places to use theme: o Folios o Fonts o Headlines o Layout o Gimmicks o Photos o Graphics

 Theme Types o Pride o Actual Event o Slogan o Anniversary o Fun o Geographic Landmark o Double-Edged

 Don’t have too much of a good thing – theme doesn’t have to be on every page.  Or, if it is, make it subtle.

 When I think of my school, these five words come to mind:

 Five most unique things about my school are:

 Other schools in our league say this about us:

 We are a lot lie an Oreo cookie in this way: o On the outside we look like – o But on the inside we are really –

 We are a lot like a chocolate chip cookie in this way: o The dough of our school is – o The chocolate chips are –

 While we let our ideas bounce around in our head, let’s examine how other schools developed their theme.
