Commission on Teacher Credentialing Ensuring Educator Excellence Designated Subjects Adult Education Standards  The first standards for preparing adult education teachers were adopted by the Commission in  Program guidelines were used prior to adoption of 1993 standards.

Commission on Teacher Credentialing Ensuring Educator Excellence Advisory Panel   In April 2008 the CTC recruited an expert advisory panel to review and update program standards for preparing adult education teachers.   Panel members include 17 adult education experts including representatives from CSU, UC, ACSA, CSBA, CTA, & CFT.

Commission on Teacher Credentialing Ensuring Educator Excellence Panel Progress  The panel met June 08- January 09  Draft requirements and standards completed and prepared to present to the Commission for information only on March 5, 2009

Commission on Teacher Credentialing Ensuring Educator Excellence Panel Process  Panel consulted a variety of research resources and other standards to create consistency  CTC staff established a web page for adult education prep/AE.html prep/AE.html prep/AE.html
