Photography 101

In this segment, we will think about positioning, arranging, and other elements.

The rule of thirds is the basis for capturing well balanced and interesting shots. It allows viewer to interact with the subject more naturally.

The lines that can be found in images are very powerful elements that can add dynamic impact in terms of mood. Before shooting, ask yourself: what lines are in front of me and how can they add emphasis to the image.

Every picture tells a story and how we arrange an image is an integral part of the story telling process. Change your subject’s position or angle Cropping Brings subject in closer Fill the frame Add interesting elements Use photo editing tools

Get creative and try shooting the same thing from several different angles for entirely new looks of the same subject.

Cropping brings the subject in closer for the center of focus

Look for openings that lead to interesting objects.
