Next week, based on... 4 th grade end-of-year exam score 4 th grade teachers’ recommendations Two placement tests in 5 th grade Each student’s classroom behaviors and adademic performance..., We will group students into three proficiency – based CLA classes.

Proficiency level based classes Difference pace, same goal Apply different teaching methods to meet different learning styles and needs There is no ceiling for the advanced students Will be adjusted base on students’ learning progress

CLA Class Rules and Expectations Bring learning materials to class (Chinese notebook, unit packet, planner, pencil box, water bottle) Participate in class actively and positively Be respectful and responsible Be on time: get to class & homework (Homework is expected to be finished within minutes every day.)
