Textbook Rubric 3’s Text of book- Text includes thorough coverage of the historical topic including all the major events. Text offers a detailed look at the topic. Text is easy to access yet complete for a general understanding of the topic. Information is accurate. Visuals- Includes 2 visuals (pictures, maps, graphs, cartoons). Each visual is annotated to explain what it is and how it relates to the topic. Information is accurate. Timeline- Includes a timeline that shows most of the major events of the historical topic and includes other Cold War events to demonstrate when they occurred in relation to them. Information is accurate. Primary Sources- Student utilizes multiple Primary sources in order to enrich their description of the historical topic in their text. Information is accurate. Questions- Multiple choice questions allow students reading the text to demonstrate/practice their knowledge of the historical topic. Essay question engages students to think deeply about the information they have learned about your historical topic. Group has included at least five multiple choice and at least one essay question. Information is accurate. Professionalism- Presentation is tidy and organized. Conventions including spelling, punctuation and grammar are correct with few mistakes.
