Illinois Occupational Skill Standards Illinois Occupational Skill Standards and Credentialing Council (IOSSCC) It is the vision of the IOSSCC to develop a statewide system of industry-defined and recognized skill standards and credentials for all major skilled occupations providing strong employment & earnings opportunities in Illinois. For industries that already have national skill standards and credentialing systems or a system of apprenticeship programs and professional certification, the IOSSCC will endorse these existing standards if business and industry in Illinois support them.
