Main income source of internally displaced aged people 6 Welfare payments (pension or welfare payments) Personal earnings or family income Target financial aid for IDP Support from relatives and friends Help from volunteer, non- governmental, international organisations

Demonstrations of material losses 50.1% of respondents said that personally cannot receive ultimate healthy nutrition for themselves 30% provide their children with ultimate healthy nutrition Almost 70% of respondents "often" or "sometimes" were financially unable to buy necessary food products 7

Conclusions The income of 64.9% of women and 49.8% of aged people per family member for a last month amounted to 1200 UAH per person. For 46.2% of internally displaced women the main source of income is personal earnings or earnings of their own family members. Among the 47.9% of internally displaced women the main source of income is allowance from government, volunteer, non-governmental, international organizations, relatives or friends. 8

Recommendations For almost half of IDP women among the economically active population the main source of income is not their own earnings, which may be a cause of unstable financial condition. It is proposed to provide IDPs with jobs according to their level of education, qualification or requalification and training to meet the needs of the region of residence. Over time, it is necessary to provide long-term financial government aid only for the most vulnerable IDPs: people with disabilities, the aged people etc. 9
