archipelago A group of islands

cape A piece of land extending into a piece of water

canyon A deep gorge, typically with a river flowing through it

butte an isolated hill with steep sides and a flat top 

isthmus a narrow strip of land with sea on either side, forming a link between two larger areas of land.

strait a narrow passage of water connecting two seas or two large areas of water.

Compass rose a circle showing the principal directions printed on a map or chart.

bay a broad inlet of the sea where the land curves inward.

longitude distance in degrees east or west of the  prime meridian at 0°

latitude the distance north or south from the  equator of a point on the earth's surface

Physical map indicates the location of landforms like deserts, mountains and plains
