Relationships….
Definition.. Relationships: a bond or link connecting people together who care and love one another. It can been seen in families, friendships and relationships. E.g. bramble & Mary rose.
Family Relationship… Bramble & Mary Rose: Bramble and Mary Rose are sisters, they are very close and have a great sisterly relationship. Its open respectful, and supportive. They both look out for each other. This is evident in the book as it shows us a perspective (insight) on Mary Rose and informs us, how she wanted too look for a guy that will love and cherish her sister bramble.
Continue.. Saker and his family: In the novel Saker is portrayed as a suspicious character, and throughout the book we learn that Saker has a strong bond and yearning for his family, hence him seeking revenge and bringing them back to life as ghosts.
Continue… Ash and his parents: Ash parents had left him in the care of Doronit, as they believed that he would be in best care with her. He was somehow a disappointment to his family as he couldn’t sing as well as them and had the ‘voice of the dead’’. Despite that, they each love one another very much, this is evident as ash was worried and concerned in which his parents could be dead.
Relationships.. Ash and Doronit: The have a love/hate relationship. Ash is physically attracted to her and sees her as a goddess. On the other hand Doronit Manipulates him into thinking that she likes him when she is just using his power, skills and weaknesses for herself. Later in the novel Ash realises that she loves him for his abilities and not as himself which leads the betrayal of Doronit and the leaving of Ash.
Continue… Bramble and Leof: Their relationship is started over attraction towards each other. Young innocent and fun love\liking. Their relationship becomes more serious after she wins the kill reborn and they have an intimate moment. But this is ended because of Brambles disappointment towards finding out that Leof is one of the Acton's men.
Acton’s men and the travelers: There is a rival between these too races. Acton's men (warlords) have a reputation of murdering the innocent travelers. The question is why? Simply because The warlords wanted more power and took it into their advantage of killing and destroying the travelers lives and possessions.
