Objectives To train women and men in the application of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines thereby improving the quality of design of projects To produce more development practitioners who could mentor others in the application of the Harmonized GAD Guidelines

Modules Introductory session Module 1: GAD guidelines for project development and design Module 2: GAD guidelines for project management and implementation Module 3: GAD guidelines for project monitoring and evaluation Module 4: Planning re-entry activities Synthesis and evaluation of the workshop

Methodology Small discussion groups (dyads, buzz) groups, working groups Lecture-discussion Fish bowl and role playing Report back in plenary sessions Peer critiquing

Ground Rules—Social Contract Switch off cell phones or put them on silent mode Listen actively and refrain from having side discussions during plenary sessions Keep to the schedule and come to the sessions on time
