Passionate Pirate Worksheet Assignment 2

Content Passion I truly enjoy teaching about dairy science but enjoy most animal science subjects. I also am passionate about local, current, agricultural news (especially topics that can become controversial because true debates or arguments always develop deeper knowledge and learning of the topic and I love playing devil’s advocate). Within your subject matter, what are you passionate about teaching? In other words, of all the topics and standards you teach as part of your curriculum, which are the ones you most enjoy?

Professional Passion I enjoy the other teachers and relationships that I have developed over the past eight years. I enjoy the leadership aspect of the FFA and all the opportunities it allows for any student who wants to take part in it. I love watching a new, nontraditional ag student grow into one of the most active FFA members in the chapter. Within your profession, but not specific to your subject matter, what are you passionate about? What is it about being an educator that drives you? What ignites a fire inside of you?

Personal Passion My husband, Brian, is an auctioneer so I love to go to auctions with him and to see what type of deals I can get. We recently got a basset hound that we named Fred and he is so much fun. I use him in my vet. Science classes for different activities. I also enjoy working on my parents Jersey Dairy Farm and in my gardens over the summer. I Love to read! Recently finished James Patterson’s Zoo – Freaky!
