Who was Johnny Appleseed?

Johnny Appleseed was a man whose real name was John Chapman.

Johnny Appleseed traveled around the United States in the 1700's.

He would plant apple seeds where ever he thought they would grow.

Johnny would sell apple trees for only a couple of pennies Johnny would sell apple trees for only a couple of pennies. He thought that this way everyone could eat apples.

Johnny got his apple seeds from seed presses or places where they made apple cider.

Johnny never had a house Johnny never had a house. Sometimes, he would sleep outside under the stars. Other times he would spend the night at someone’s house.

Johnny Appleseed liked to tell stories to kids about his adventures in the wild.

Johnny Appleseed made many people smile by giving them apple trees or by telling them stories.
