Smoke Free Musical By Eugenie Shin and Saki Nagai

Smoking in front of a child will influence the child to smoke when he/she is older.

Adult smokers usually start when they are teenagers and continue smoking because they are addicted.

People keep trying to quit, but they can’t because of the nicotine’s strong addiction.

Smokers should quit. There are tons of benefits to quitting. benefits: #1: within one day, the blood pressure and the amount of carbon monoxide in your body returns to normal. #2: within one year, the chance of getting a heart attack decreases to half. #3: within ten years, the risk of a heart attack and stroke return to normal. #4: you can save more money and spend more time with your family.

After Emily finished her homework…

Cold turkey is quitting without any method. This isn’t quitting cold turkey. Please don’t think that you can quit smoking with this.

If you’re trying to quit, it’s a good idea to get a friend or a family member help you.

While Emily's at piano lesson

Nicotine gum is a product made for quitting smoking. It releases nicotine while you chew. Nicotine addiction is the main reason people can’t quit. This gum is made for chewing instead of smoking cigarettes. Each piece of gum releases less and less nicotine until a smoker doesn’t crave nicotine.

2weeks later…

The inhaler is like a small pipe that smokers can breath in nicotine. The size of an inhaler is as big as a chap stick.

A nicotine lozenge is a hard candy that releases nicotine while you suck it. There is no such thing as nicotine ice cream.

You shouldn’t give up quitting even if it is hard to do. If you say, “Just one more is okay,” you will never be able to quit.

Nicotine Patch A nicotine patch is a patch you wear which releases nicotine into your body. A smoker just has to put on a patch, and never smoke. Because the patch releases nicotine into the body.
