Types of Elephants There are two main types of elephants. They are the Asian and the African. There are four subspecies of Asian and two of the African. The Asian are the Sri Lankan(the largest), the Sumatran(the smallest), the Indian, and the Borneo Pygmy. The African subspecies are the Savannah and the Forest Elephants.

Habits Elephants are cleaner than you think Elephants have different trumpets for different moods All elephants will care for each other and others’ young Elephants run but not often at 15miles per hour

Elephants are very clean animals They bathe regularly They also like to swim They take mud bathes to cool off

Elephants have lots of fun! They love to play with each other

Dangers Elephants’ main danger is humans In 2005, humans killed about 23,000 elephants for their ivory alone
