Beowulf Summaries Summarize the important plot elements of Beowulf : –Write a summary for each of the eight sections. Each summary should be written in your own words and packed with meaning. Use the labels given in the text of the poem, i.e “The Wrath of Grendel” to separate one summary from the next. –Each section has multiple parts to be covered in the summary, and all parts of the epic must be represented. Be thorough. Most of the sections will require several sentences to summarize. –Use present tense and parenthetical documentation to indicate the line numbers you are summarizing (l ). –Submit your summaries to turnitin.com by Friday, September 23 according to your teacher’s directions. See example below summarizing a few lines from the first section, “The Wrath of Grendel.” The monster sneaks up on and kills his sleeping victims (l ).
