Some volcanoes are asleep and never wake up for years. Other volcanoes you can find under water and when they erupt they make a Tsunami. Some volcanoes are extinct and will not erupt. Some volcanoes are dormant and haven’t erupted for a long time but may in the future. Some volcanoes are active and erupt frequently.

In Africa you can find a volcano called mount Kilimanjaro most people think it’s a mountain but its actually a volcano. Also there's another volcano in Uganda called Nyamuragira, it is a very active volcano and erupts every 2 years with lots of lava flow.

Under water volcanoes are not hot they are very cold. Whitecaps Churn in the Atlantic off West Africa has an underwater volcano.
