You are learning about persuasive language. You are learning about audience and purpose.

Structure: long/short sentences, lists, paragraphs. Statistics: numbers, ( ), charts. Figurative language: onomatopoeia, alliteration, simile, metaphor, etc. Images: maps, photographs, sketches. Positive word choice: adjectives, superlatives, effective verbs. Direct address & commands: use of ‘You’, commands. Persuasive language
