The Power of Poetry Language Arts – Grade 7 Hanson Middle – H. Walker Can you identify the poetic terms and figure of speech we’ve been studying? Can you find examples of these poetic terms and figures of speech in other poems?

Where to Begin... Want to spice up your writing and add some flavor to it? Then throw in a pinch of figurative language! Figurative language is language that uses comparisons. It is used to make a point clearer, add beauty and detail to written language. Begin your poetic journey by watching this video excerpt from Dead Poet’s Society.video This video will help you remember to look at poetry from all angles.
