Fish Sunlit Zone This is the most diverse area of the sea. Many marine plants and about a third of the world's fish species live on the coral reefs in this zone.

Birds Toucans The large serrated bill of the toucan is adapted for grasping and tearing fruit. It helps the bird reach fruit on the end of thin twigs that cannot support its weight. Once collected, food has to be moved from the tip of the bill into the bird's throat- a task that is achieved with a quick backward toss of the head. Toucans help disperse the seeds of some trees by eating them and passing them through their bodies, as do many other forest birds, such as parrots and macaws.

Mammals Terrestrial Mammals With a lithe, muscular body, acute senses, highly evolved teeth and claws, lightning reflexes and camouflage coloration, cats are model hunters. In fact cats are the most specialized of the mammalian flesh-eaters. They are unusual in that all species appear remarkably similar: the differences between tigers and the domestic cat, for example, are surprisingly small. Cats are found throughout Eurasia, Africa, and the Americas (the domestic cat is found worldwide),
