There are four natural zones in Africa. Wet equatorial forests Savannahs and rare forests Deserts and semi deserts Tough evergreen forests A lot of different animals live in Africa.

A giraffe is a typical representative of Africa’s animal world. It is a big and beautiful animal with a long neck and long legs. The giraffe eats grass. It can also eat leaves just from the trees. Giraffes live in big groups. Females have one baby at a time.

Among the cats of Africa lions are the most beautiful flesh-eaters. They live in prides. A male usually gets some females around him. Females have three or four cubs at a time and are devoted mothers.

Rhinoceros and hippopotamus are the representatives of big animals of Africa.

Among the biggest there is an African elephant. It is a very heavy grass eating animal with a trunk and large ears. Elephants live in groups. Females have only one baby at a time.

Zebra is a very beautiful striped African horse. It is a grass eating animal, which runs fast and lives in big groups. Every zebra has its own colouring.
