When did we decide to need them? Who needs them? What are they?

 Approximately 16.5 million deaths in ww1  21 million casualties  Traumatised from war  Emotionally  Physically  Spiritually  Families torn apart  Conscription!!

 million fatalities  Nearly all the worlds nations suffered  Holocaust million people were killed including:  Jewish People  Homosexuals  People with disabilities  Jehovah’s witnesses

 The world said.... THAT IS ENOUGH.  Written in 1948 as a direct reaction of ww2

 Article 3 Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.  Article 5  No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.  Article 6  Everyone has the right to recognition

 Speech to the United Nations.  You are to write a speech that you will present to the United Nations and are to quote 2/3 given articles from the declaration of Human rights explaining to them the injustices that are taking place at Guantanamo Bay. It must include description and evidence of these injustices taking place. You are writing this speech because you are trying to get Guantanamo Bay closed.

 Write an 8 line poem about Prisoners of War using at least 3 language techniques explored in class.
