Statistics of Teens using Crystal Meth In 2010, the use of meth was down about 60% to 80% from 1999’s statistics among 8th, 10th and 12th graders when meth use was first measured. The 2009 National Survey on Drug Use and Health shows that 1.2 million Americans over the age of 12 used meth at least once in the 12 months before the survey was taken. Meth statistics from the 2010 Monitoring the Future study reported that 1.2% of 8th graders, 1.6% of 10th graders and 1% of 12th graders used meth at least one time in the 12 months before the survey was taken.

1 in 33 teens has tried meth. Almost ¼ say it’s easy to get meth. Survey includes 2600 students aged 12-17 at 43 high schools. 1 in 10 say they have been offered meth. Students who admit to ever using meth say they first tried meth at age 12, on average. http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-500368_162-3274335.html
