Loving Christ Centred Relationships Lifestreams aspires to be a church that is full of compassion so that people are drawn from all situations in life into a loving, accepting community that inspires hope and faith in Christ. We seek to have loving and respectful relationships between people.

John 13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another John 13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Church is a healing community

Ephesians 4:11,12 Jesus gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry

God: Delights in us Looks for the good in us; affirms us Disrupts us

James 4:1-4 1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. 4 You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

vs 6 BUT He gives us more grace… That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble.”

Colossians 1: 24-25  I want you to know how glad I am that it’s me sitting here in this jail and not you. There’s a lot of suffering to be entered into in this world—the kind of suffering Christ takes on. I welcome the chance to take my share in the church’s part of that suffering. When I became a servant in this church, I experienced this suffering as a sheer gift, God’s way of helping me serve you, laying out the whole truth.
