THE HOLY COMMUNION By Madison Scully

Holy Communion also known as the Eucharist,is the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ given with bread and wine, instituted by Christ himself for us to eat and drink. In the night in which he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread, and gave thanks; broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take this all of you and eat it, this is my body. Do this in memory of me. Again after supper, he took the cup gave thanks, and gave it to his disciples saying: take this cup and drink it this is the new and ever lasting covenant, it will be shared for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me. That was the Last Supper in which the Holy Communion is in memory of.

There are seven sacraments in our Christian life and these are: 1.Baptism 2.Reconciliation/Penance 3.Eucharist/Communion 4.Confirmation 5.Marriage 6.Holy Orders 7.Anointing the Sick

I chose this sacrament because, I believe this is the biggest sacrament in a Childs life. When you are receiving the body(bread) and blood(wine) of Jesus Christ. When we take this bread and drink this cup we are showing Jesus that we are most holy.
