The annual population change is a 0.7% increase (as of 2013) The United States is ranked number 5 on the Human Development Index. Life expectancy is years, GDP is $16.77 trillion. Net migration is 2.45 immigrants per 1000 people

Facts  Population: 313,858,000  Fertility: 1.9 children per woman  Birth Rate: 13.7/1,000  Death Rate: 7.9/1,000  Education: 99% literacy, 96.2% Primary school completion.  Gender Equality: Women are a higher percentage of US college graduates, making up around 58%. They also have higher rates of high- school completion and lower rates of youth unemployment. Women make up only 3% of high-level CEOs and less than 8% of workplace deaths. The median income for women is $8,000 lower than for men before adjusting for hours worked and job type.  Challenges for Government: Aging population, high education and healthcare costs, political opposition to implementing publically-funded programs,
