EGEE Cork Conference, 19/4/ EDG Experience EDG not only forerunner to EGEE, but the major one. Personally, several meetings to get to know CERN set-up (4 visits to CERN since last November) Engagement with EDG, including attending an EDG tutorial in November and the final EDG review in February But EGEE is different – quantity changes quality.  Communications is a major challenge In EDG, training was not planned for, but became important.  This has raised expectations for EGEE training.

EGEE Cork Conference, 19/4/ New Staff Many NA3 partners have been funded to hire staff, and have also agreed to provide staff unfunded by EGEE. I have been asked to gather details from NA3 partners of progress  staff names, job descriptions, etc., as per my of two days ago. Major task for NA3 at Cork is to fill out and refine the Execution Plan. Start discussions later this afternoon.
