The name CARNEHL is a synonym for quality and competence. At the beginning there was the idea of building vehicles tailored to the individual requirements of the clients and their operating conditions. TIPPER VEHICLES FROM CARNEHL
F ACTORY PATTENSEN Grounded in 1957 by Heinrich Carnehl the concern has grown continuously over the years. The growth as well as the economic effect of the German reunification soon created a need for an increase in production capacity. In 1991 a new production site for final assembly was built in Pattensen near to Hanover. This site was expanded by another building in From these sites vehicles are exported to the whole world today.
CONTAINER TRAILERS One of workshops of plant serves exceptionally for the production of container trailers. Constantly watching exploitation of container chassis in practical work, Carnehl worked its construction, due to what high reliability is provided at the high loading. Container trailers with front and back extension have most demand, as allow an optimal method to load any types of containers.
TIPPER BODIES New productive direction was entered on making of tipper bodies for 4-axled truck chassis of such well-known brands, as Mercedes, MAN, Volvo, DAF, Iveco, Scania. It’s an innovative vehicle design intended for economical use and easy operation. And it’s an investment that will pay off in a very short time.
The newest innovative developments About 10 vehicles with the half-pipe body in Hardox are every day produced by Carnehl. The company Carnehl demonstrates the newest innovative developments by the world-biggest exhibition for commercial vehicles in Hanover. Special tipper vehicles with multipurpose tipper bodies in steel Hardox and aluminium, lightweight aluminium half-pipe bodies on the lightened aluminium chassis or lightened steel construction in fine-grained steel of high Swedish quality, - these are only some of examples. It allows to our customers easily to do a choice, as weight of the transported product has a decision value.
FACTORY WITTSTOCK In 1990 the plant in Wittstock/Dosse became a part of the enterprise and has since been expanded into a state-of-the- art manufacturing plant. Welding robots and a CAD-CAM-controlled plasma cutting system form the heart of the production system. Development and optimization of the vehicles to production level is performed by engineers using modern 3D CAD technology.
A CHIEVEMENTS IN W ITTSTOCK In 1996 the first half-pipe body from well-known Swedish steel Hardox was worked out and tested. In 1998 this type of body was in highlight by the International Motor Show IAA Hanover. Who would think, that this half-pipe body will become do firmly established in the world market? However for all that it happened.
WELDING WORKS Welding works are the main part of production, without which the highly efficient production would be impossible. At first, works were carried out with one welding robot, and now four welding lines are in operating in three shifts, they use technology method of time. Every day, the plant produces units of half-pipe bodies, which are worked by sandblasting and priming.
WELDING WORKS Robot for aluminum welding includes 4 workstations. The main idea was to divide the assembly of aluminum body for preliminary welding of each item before assembly and final welding of the entire body. The main parts are collected separately: the bottom, side, front and rear boards. Then all these parts are sent to the two end workstations, where they are completed, mounted and permanently welded.
TIPPER SEMI-TRAILERS The tipper semi trailers can be equipped with different extra options according to requirements of the customer. Carnehl offers tipper bodies with the length from 7 up to 12 m and with the height from 1,3 up to 2,3 m, what allows to transport any type of cargo.
HALF-PIPE BODY IN HARDOX Its special design eliminates the need for a cradle assembly to accommodate the tipper body, a tipper body constructed of HARDOX 450, a special steel that provides a low empty weight and an uncompromised high strength and durability essential for hauling heavy, equipment-pounding loads such as large chunks of rock or broken stone. The vehicle’s design and construction allow it to be used almost anywhere. The tipper body is supported on the chassis at only two points: the pivot shaft at the rear of the vehicle and a rubber-shielded support located in front of the hydraulic ram. The two elevated mounting points provide a 0.6” (1.5 cm) clearance between the rubber-coated longitudinal frame members and the tipper body that functions like a dampening, shock-absorbing membrane in cushioning the tipper body. This system protects the steel walls from impact damage during loading and, through its inherent vibration, is highly effective at keeping troublesome loads, such as clay and mud, from sticking to the tipper body walls. A low empty weight means grater loading capacity and fewer runs. Good tipping characteristics and wear-resistant design and materials are even more reasons for choosing this new, truly state-of-the-art tipper body.
VARIOUS MODELS FROM STEEL HARDOX The lightened high-volume tipper semi-trailer, volume m3, is made in 4 mm steel and with great success is used for transportation of scrap-metal.
VARIOUS MODELS FROM STEEL HARDOX The multipurpose body has floor of high-quality steel, the board walls are in aluminium. It is designed for transport of different types of cargo.
VARIOUS MODELS FROM STEEL HARDOX 3-way tipper bodies for 3- and 4-axle truck chassis, 2- and 3- axle tipper trailers.
