Come and visit MARS!

Come and visit Mars, you can have a lot of fun We’re right next to Earth – we’re the fourth planet from the Sun

EarthMars Although we’re half as large as Earth, we offer quite a lot

Huge mountains, craters, rifts and storms – Much larger than Earth’s got

Olympus Mons, a huge volcano, Visit it of course – Three times as high as Everest, Wide as Pittsburgh to New York

Happy Face Crater

Bring a coat and bring a hat … Our temperature gets rather low

… minus 200 degrees! Our orbit is eccentric with our thin atmosphere

Which you’ll enjoy 687 days per Martian year

Just as a note of caution – it’s not a big to-do There’s hardly any oxygen; it’s mostly CO2

There’s also not much pressure so your body may explode WEAR THE PROPER CLOTHES!

(aerial view of Martian rift)

Phobos and Deimos – two very lovely moons! We hope you come to visit … soon!

MercuryVenusEarth Mars The Terrestrial Planets

We see you’ve sent ahead some things – Come pick them up someday
